In re: Personal Property of Ibn Hassan
I, Jackie Allen Terry, SBI#532844B, being of full age and duly sworn according to law, deposes and says:
1. I am the affiant in the above referenced matter.
2. That this affidavit is being made to recount the events that ultimately led up to the personal property of Ibn Hasan of Newark, NJ, to be released on August 4, 2025, from the Union County jail as explained below.
3.That this affidavit is being made for the Union county prosecutor; the internal affairs unit at the Union county jail in Elizabeth, NJ; Ibn Hasan and his attorney - if he or the dealership who owned the vehicle in question has one.
4. That Terry received a cellphone call on August 3, 2025 from whom he believed to be Ibn Hasan instructing him to go to the Union county jail and pick up his personal property and his car and bring everything to his mother, Sister Jackie.
5. Ibn Hasan is my Muslim brother.
6. That Terry was in Atlantic City, NJ when the call was received.
7. The next morning, on August 4, 2025, Terry arrived at the Union County jail and met with a Union county corrections officers who released Ibn Hasan’s property to Terry. The personal property consisted of a wallet, 2000 in cash, and keys to a BMW X5 SUV.
8. That upon leaving the parking garage where the BMW X5 SUV was parked, Terry was overtaken on the driver’s side by a pick up truck driven by a Hispanic male, causing damage to the front driver’s side quarter panel of the BMW X5 SUV.
